Overview

Pang Castle was founded durring the late 11th century, by Trëd Stubbs. The establishment of Pang Castle was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Pang Castle's construction back out of the project. Trëd Stubbs pushed on reguardles, and Pang Castle was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.

Pang Castle was built using the conventions of Sylvin durring the late 11th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Pang Castle is no diffrent. The city's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.

Pang Castle is buildings have been located at convienant points along the rivers Pang Castle was built upon. Navigating the town is therefore a little chalanging as the distance between buildings verris greatly and the premissive baked earthen streets flow where they are able to be made rather than folowing the most convienant paths. The city resides behind a palisade wall complete with battlments, a moat, and timber gatehouses with drawbridges. Pang Castle's robustly designed timber walls are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.

Pang Castle is a bustling hive of activity. Everyone moves at nothing short of a jog, each convocation is a mile a minute, and there’s dedicated lanes for riding through town in the center of each street. The locals all appear to be not merely occupied, but in a true hurry for everything from drinking a pint of ale to their daily work.

Cultural Notes

Pang Castle's garrison was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by their massive, monolithic and 'blocky' appearance with a rigid geometric style. It was best known for its rough, unfinished surfaces, unusual shapes, heavy-looking materials, straight lines, and small windows. Modular elements were often used to form masses representing specific functional zones, grouped into a unified whole.

Due to the actions of local Kami, summer is long in Pang Castle.

Points of Interest

Pang Castle is a major trade hub, connecting several important cities or resource production areas. It’s probably at an important river juncture, ancient crossroads, or occupying the only safe path through some perilous wilderness. Its position may be important enough that it can survive on trade alone, despite being unable to feed itself with the surrounding land. Such hubs are usually heavily garrisoned by the lord who profits from their tariffs and taxes.

Pang Castle is known for its odd use of round-a-bouts, small ring roads used in place of intersections.
